From 2001. The commissioner asked for the old yellow and black costume. I'm afraid this basic layout is on the verge of retirement, due to overuse.

A random collection of material from comic artist Kevin Nowlan. Started with the best of intentions, but like most other efforts, doomed to perish from neglect as soon as the novelty wears off.
Nineteenth time's the charm.

ReplyDeleteThat's amazing work!
ReplyDeleteHi Kevin!
ReplyDeleteHUGE fan of your work. Your expressions, staging and linework are all spectacular.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Joe! I went nuts over the Green Lantern story that you and Kurt did for Wednesday Comics. When I checked out several of the pieces on your blog this morning I just about fell out of my chair. You're absolutely a virtuoso! If there's a drawing skill you haven't mastered, I can't see it! I'm particularly fond of the wide range of facial expressions your characters show. All the figures move so naturally and everything is credible, not overblown.
ReplyDeleteThanks for checking in!

Wow, thanks for those kind words, Kevin! Really glad that I found out you upkeep a blog. Lovely to see new pieces of yours I hadn't seen before. And the process shots you post are a real treat. I'll be coming back often.
ReplyDeleteThanks again, Joe. I forgot to mention how much I love your coloring, too!
