A random collection of material from comic artist Kevin Nowlan. Started with the best of intentions, but like most other efforts, doomed to perish from neglect as soon as the novelty wears off.
Kevin, that was my favorite Amazing Heroes cover way back when. I still have that just for the cover. Actually my other favorite AH cover from back then was yours—the greenish cover with the girl heroes flying at us.
ReplyDeleteWow! That really brings back great memories! I was just so bowled over the first time I saw that cover...
ReplyDeleteWhat's up with your last name being spelled differently?
ReplyDeleteyeah, I always wondered why you had signed some pieces as 'Nolan' too. Spill please!
ReplyDeleteIt was just an inside joke. "Nowlan" is one of those names that people have a hard time spelling correctly. If people don't drop the "w" they add a "K" at the beginning or a "d" at the end. I figured no one would notice but if I'd realized that I'd still be explaining it decades later I never would have done it. Nowadays I almost always spell my name correctly.
ReplyDelete"Oksner" is another one of those problem names. People often spell it "Oskner". "Rubinstein" as in "Joe" is frequently spelled "Rubenstein".
