Twitter

As some of you may have noticed, I signed up for a Twitter account last night and was warmly received by many of my cartooning brethren. What you may not know is that my account was suspended this morning, without warning or explanation. I'm trying to find out what the problem was/is but I want you all to know it was their doing, not mine. I hope it can be resolved soon. In the meantime, I'm once again completely twitless.

  1. I had one, I rarely used it, and it was suspended as well. Found a message in my bio that said "Hacked by @neatstuffs" and it apparently was sending out spam tweets as well. Oh well, guess respectable folks aren't the only ones with internet access.

  2. True. Probably some goofball hacked your account and used it for spamming. Hope you get it sorted soon.

  3. If that's what happened, the hackers really work fast. I was only on for a few hours. Weird...

  4. Probably an automated process. How strong was your password?

  5. Mid-range... maybe half way on the bar graph. Sounds like I'd better change it to something stronger if they lift the suspension.

  6. I waited about 24 hours for a response from Twitter, then decided to just open a new account. We'll see how long this one lasts.

  7. I finally heard from Twitter. They apologized for the mistake and restored my original account so I've cancelled the new one. That was really more trouble than it was worth.
