Ra's al Ghul card art
The final version of this one appeared in the Modern Masters book but I thought some of you might enjoy seeing the steps that got me there.
This piece is all about lighting. If you take away the shadows it's just a guy in a bathtub.
Very true that lighting will make or break this drawing and as expected, you were able to pull this off without a hitch. Love the way you did use the pit itself as the light source. I'll go on the record and say I prefer the black and white finished version better than the colored version.
Still interested in the choice of the green colors though. Figured a redish/orange would have been an interesting take but you know, it all works. I'm the last to question a genius.
I had a similar thought this morning when I was posting it. I don't know why I didn't use a red background. I think it would have been a lot more effective.
