A random collection of material from comic artist Kevin Nowlan. Started with the best of intentions, but like most other efforts, doomed to perish from neglect as soon as the novelty wears off.

Superman #621 cover art
Superman surrounded by young human-insect hybrids. Sincere thanks to Hiroshi for sending me scans of the prelims and for catching my mistake on the issue number.
I absolutely LOVE this cover!!!! I've said it before and I'll say it again, you draw my favorite version of Superman. He has the right mixture of strength, age, and a subtle humanity that is really difficult to pull off. Any news on Man-Thing, Kevin?
This is my favourite Kevin Nowlan cover and therefore my favourite cover of all time! Heroic and yet lost, strong and yet vulnerable, alien and yet human - and he'll never give up no matter what the odds. Iconic stuff.
What a crummy design slapped on top of a beautiful piece of art.
ReplyDeleteCreepy stuff, Kevin.
ReplyDeleteI dig it's clarity of light.
=s=

ReplyDeletesmok!
