A random collection of material from comic artist Kevin Nowlan. Started with the best of intentions, but like most other efforts, doomed to perish from neglect as soon as the novelty wears off.

Batman pin-up: Inks over David Finch pencils
This one was inked over a blueline copy of the pencils:
Hmm...definitely a different take on how most are approaching Finch for his inks. Most do the more hatchy, tick line approach, while you did your thing in there. Interesting to see the differences of how someone like Friend or Miki normally would ink Finch and then your take.
All the "wooden" texture from the original pencils has gone away thanks to the smooth lines you gave to this piece. Amazing how this changed for the better.
Gorgeous.

ReplyDeleteWas this for a commission? Just curious.
