Plastic Man #1, page 1, 1988

I don't have a pencil scan for this one and... let's be honest, the layout is 99% Jack Cole's so I can't take credit for much here.  One thing that occurred to me when I drew those bottom panels; drawing a character falling down is hard to do.  Tomorrow I'll post a short story by an under appreciated artist who just might be the king of "falling down" art.  Stay tuned.

Plastic Man #2, page 2, 1988

And here's the next page.  I couldn't find a copy of the pencils but here are the inks and colors.  DC must have removed the little burst in panel four, maybe because it didn't look real enough?

Plastic Man #2, page 1, 1988

I did one and two page "reality checks" for this 4-issue mini-series. The rest of the art was by Hilary Barta and John Nyberg.  The editor had another artist in mind and I think Hil had to do some lobbying to get me hired, but in the end, they even let me do my own lettering and color guides and they didn't fire me when my drawings started getting a bit too cartoony and less "real".
