Logo art for Hulk Annual
This was only used once, on Annual #13 in 1984. I think we added a heavier outline after this copy of the original art was made.

Flatiron Joe logo art
A couple of years ago I was asked to design a logo for a NYC bar in the Flatiron district. I don't really do logo designs any more but just this once I made an exception. It was a lot of fun but the place closed not long after I finished the work. It's a shame, because I was looking forward to grabbing a beer and a burger there the next time I made it to the city. You'll occasionally see some of these preliminary sketches mis-identified as Goon prelims.

DC First cover art: Superman vs Lobo
From 2002. I drew all four of these "DC 1st" covers and even (roughly) designed the logo. Yes, I know, Superman's proportions are really exaggerated. If I had it to do over, I might have made his waist a little less narrow, but that's how I saw it at the time.

Punisher Logo roughs
From 1985. Editor Carl Potts asked me to come up with some designs for this logo after I told him I wanted to focus on lettering for a while. you can see me fumbling around on the first sample, searching for an idea. The final design incorporates his skull emblem. I usually don't like designs that are this painfully symmetrical but I think it works.
