Doctor Strange commission pencils

Looks like I got tired of filling in the black background with a pencil and just started "X"ing.  This was drawn a few years ago and I'm sure I have a scan of the inks... I just haven't found it yet.

One of several alternate covers for the first issue of the 1996 series. It took a couple of sketches to find the right layout.

I never liked the coloring on this cover.  I'm sure the unknown colorist meant well, but there are so many things wrong with it.  Here's what I would have done:

Magnus card art

This was drawn in 1991 for one of the cards inserted into Magnus, Robot Fighter #5.

Merv Pumpkinhead cover painting

From 2000. This was the first of two covers I did that month with a nearly identical layout, inspired by a classic James Bond pose.  The second can be seen here.  This one was painted with acrylics on a sheet of gessoed masonite.  Sorry for the jump from thumbnail to finished painting.  I don't seem to have copies of the intermediate steps.  I also designed the title on this one.
