Sorry about the poor scan of Amanda's sketch. The fax they sent me is very faded after all these years.

Deadpool #49 cover
Jimmy Palmiotti asked me to do this one. I initially declined because I'd recently done a Merv Pumpkinhead cover painting that was way too similar to Amanda Conner's cover sketch. Jimmy told me not to worry about it; different characters, different company, different medium, etc.

I am happy to say that not only did kevin do a great job on that, but its hanging next to me on the wall in my studio! love that piece...and totally forgot amanda did a sketch for it...lol. I really enjoyed that run on deadpool.
ReplyDeleteKevin's alterations make the final drawing more alluring. Great job!
ReplyDeleteHere, I'm alive. I'm everything all of the time.
ReplyDeleteLoved this shot and cover. Cool stuff!
ReplyDeleteI wish everyone could be as easy to work with as Jimmy. And I think the changes were as much his as mine. At least the addition of the nurse, who was a character in the story, if I remember right...
