Batman villains with Joe Quesada
I'm afraid I don't know what this was for. Maybe a poster? I should also apologize for the poor scan of the pencils. I think they were a little on the light side and the copier obviously wasn't working very well, adding vertical lines not present in Joe's pencils.

great work, but i don't understand, why do you adding vertical lines ?
ReplyDeleteWonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteNo, Alfredo, the vertical lines appeared when I made a Xerox copy of the pencils. The machine was acting up.
ReplyDeleteI loved your collaboration with Joe Quesada. After the Azrael mini-series, this is my favorite piece you worked on together.
ReplyDeleteReally like how you altered, ever so slightly, the feathering on the Joker and some of the other characters on the pages. I think that you brought some of your own vision with the rendering and characters to what Joe saw without butchering his approach.
ReplyDeleteThat is just a really cool Penguin. Also, is it me or does this Two-Face look weirdly like Aaron Eckhart?
ReplyDelete(In the pencils I mean.)
ReplyDeleteSuperb work Kevin! You are right, it was the art for the promotional poster for 'Showcase 93'. I have the full colour version hangin on my wall right now...
