A random collection of material from comic artist Kevin Nowlan. Started with the best of intentions, but like most other efforts, doomed to perish from neglect as soon as the novelty wears off.
Sublime
ReplyDeleteGreat painting! Will you be doing more painted projects in the futre?
ReplyDeleteYup. I'm working on one now.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your new painting Kevin. This cover and the #10 cover are mind numbingling purdy.
ReplyDeleteThe colors on the comic and painting scan are vastly different here--which version is closer to the original painting?
ReplyDeleteThey're probably somewhere in between. More color than the comic but not as much as the scan from the color copy.
ReplyDeletethe color scan looks so much more interesting almost like she's under water. Would've been great if the cover had those blues and purples in it.

ReplyDeleteI did upload that same cover scan to the GCD last year (I think that's Kevin's source) and used it in my own blog.
ReplyDeleteIf you want to see a high resolution scan go there:

Kevin, fell free to take the high resolution original scan instead.
Got it, Andres! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThese Batgirl covers you did were some of my all-time favorites.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tom.
