Inks for a Ron Lim Marvel card
This one is from 1992. I don't think I ever saw the finished card so who knows if it was ever printed.

A random collection of material from comic artist Kevin Nowlan. Started with the best of intentions, but like most other efforts, doomed to perish from neglect as soon as the novelty wears off.
Heya Kevin,
ReplyDeleteI've been a very loooooong time fan and you've been a huge influence on my work as a 'pro' inker.
You have a very strong style and I was wondering if you've ever had a penciller complain that the finished artwork looks too much like Kevin Nowlan and not enough like that particular pencillers style?
I've always loved the 'guts' you have to dive into a piece and make changes where you see they are needed stylistically as well as structurally.
Best,
Jason Moore
The modifications in the finished illustration is aesthetically pleasing to me.
ReplyDeleteYes you made a not so nice sketch look really good!
ReplyDeleteBig fan!
