1986 KC Convention promo art
Convention organizers occasionally ask their guests to produce a piece of art to help promote the show. You can see one such piece here and another here.
For the drawing below, I decided to draw Brii from Grimwood's Daughter (in a different outfit) along with Dr. Strange, Moon Knight and an oddball, cartoony character I'd been trying to turn into a series called "Mr. Lizard".
True story: The fellow who bought this original hated the "Mr. Lizard" drawing so much that he painted over it with white out.

Strange Tales #6 cover INKS!
My sincere thanks to the generous and thoughtful Mr. Simon Miller who sent me this scan of the original art. I posted the pencils late last year but at the time, I couldn't even find a copy of the inks.

Doctor Strange commission pencils
Looks like I got tired of filling in the black background with a pencil and just started "X"ing. This was drawn a few years ago and I'm sure I have a scan of the inks... I just haven't found it yet.

Dr. Strange limited edition print
This is from 1987. It looks like I must have gone to my local printer and had a halftone print of the pencils made before I started painting.

Strange Tales letters page header
This is a pencil layout on tracing paper for the letters column in Strange Tales. I'm guessing it was done around 1985 or '86. It's too bad that most comics don't have letters pages anymore. When I was a kid, that was always the first thing I read when I picked up a new book.

Dr. Strange sculpture designs
I'm not sure what year these were done. Marvel asked me to do some sketches for a limited edition sculpture. I did the turnarounds in pencil, then – at their request – inked the first figure.

Dr. Strange, Sorcerer Supreme #1 cover
From 1988. They weren't used for very long, but I also drew the new logo and the (awkward) small Doc figure in the upper left corner.
