Dr. Strangefate, page 14
As an inker, it was easy to look good, sandwiched between the pencils of José Luis Garcia-Lopez and the coloring of Matt Hollingsworth. Published about 14 years ago, these pages still make me smile...

Skulk SMASH!
Pencils and inks for Doctor Strangefate page 15. For this DC/Marvel crossover story, "Skulk" was a combination of Solomon Grundy and the Hulk.

Speaking of Doctor Strangefate
In spite of what you see here, I really did ink the magic effects that José pencilled, but they were on an overlay and it looks like I didn't bother to make a copy.

Script by Ron Marz, pencils by José Luis Garcia-Lopez, inks by me and virtuoso coloring by Matt Hollingsworth. I love the way Matt kept everything dark and murky – as the setting required – but clearly defined the elements and separated the planes. He even caught that tiny highlight on the kid's pupil.

In hindsight, I should have been intimidated by these pencils but for some reason I wasn't. I guess I realized that they were idiot-proof and that no matter how badly I messed up the pages would still look great.
