Solomon Grundy

This was for a DC card a few years ago. If I had to do it over again I might have drawn both figures a little less wonky but it was fun.

  1. I always like the large upper body of Solomon in this one, made it seem like he was really lumbering.

Did you color this one too?

  3. Yeah, those are my colors, such as they are.

His face is a little more round in the thumbnail but little things like that usually change as you refine the details.

  4. Less wonky?? I'd say the wonkier the better! You pull it off so well, too.

  5. I've always liked your colors Kevin, they look so much better than some of the over-rendered stuff these days. Simple yet elegant.

  6. Thanks! It probably makes the art look too old fashioned for some people but that's the way I like it.

Don't know why I never found your blog before, and now I see you've stopped posting.
Wonder when you'll be back. I'm wainting anxiously.
