Deadman cover inks over JLGL
This was for the fifth issue of the Dead Again mini-series in 2001. We did a sixth cover for a collection which was never published.

A random collection of material from comic artist Kevin Nowlan. Started with the best of intentions, but like most other efforts, doomed to perish from neglect as soon as the novelty wears off.
Love the rendering on the Spectre's face. A lot of hatching with skill. Not just thrown in there to hatch, there is a purpose with it to give shape to the face. And using more solids on Deadman's figure seperates the foreground image better.
ReplyDeleteI like the way you spruced up the Deadman figure. Overall a wonderful ink job. You stayed faithful to the spirit of the drawing.
ReplyDeleteGood work!
ReplyDeleteThose hands are a perfect demonstration of classic drawing. Masterful inking over a very good pencil line. Greetings to my country fellow García-lopez.
