Superman 608 cover

This was the first of the Superman covers I did back in 2002 and 2003.  I went to town with the coloring but DC threw me a curve when they made me change the green radiation to purple.  They didn't want it to be confused with Kryptonite.

  1. There's an EC quality to this cover; rather macabre for a Superman cover than one would otherwise suspect. I appreciate the 3-D effect with Superman popping out of the cover . . . a SUPER effort!

  2. Beautiful piece, but I agree, something is lost going from green to purple. Do you see the colors in the piece even as you're in the prelim stages?
