A random collection of material from comic artist Kevin Nowlan. Started with the best of intentions, but like most other efforts, doomed to perish from neglect as soon as the novelty wears off.
mignola's pencils are looser than i would've imagined...must be daunting to ink, even to an artist of your caliber.great stuff!
ReplyDeleteOne thing I've always said, I love the way you ink Mignola because you still bring some great stuff to the table on the inks. While the pencils don't seem like they would allow your style to come through, you pick and choose some great places to shine.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing for sure!!
You guys are a wonderful combo.
ReplyDeleteMr. Nowlan, i believe i asked you this before, but do you prefer mignola approach to pencils, or do you like the high detailed stuff? i know some inkers need for me to pencil every deatil....
ReplyDeletepeace out
Somewhere in between is the ideal; tight enough so that I see where it's going but not too tight, otherwise I feel like I'm just tracing the lines.
ReplyDeleteWow. Mignola's pencils for this piece IS very loose. You cleaned house so well Kevin. Your style does lend itself exceptionally well in enhancing Mike.
