"Images of Groo" card art: The Sage
Drawing a Sergio Aragones character in my own "style" was a bit of a challenge. So I cheated and tried to imagine what he'd look like if Wally Wood had drawn him. Once I started thinking in terms of light and shadow it was easy. From 1995.

LOL Out of this entire piece, that dog is priceless!
ReplyDeleteI love Groo and I love your Sage and dog versions.
ReplyDeleteSergio Aragones is one of the best too.
Tomás.
Agreed Joe. I was just laughing at that. The dog is incredible.
ReplyDeleteI own this original! Trying to remember who I bought it from. One of the Scotts (either Dunbier or Eder). Never saw the card, though.
ReplyDeleteMust have been Dunbier. I don't know the other one.
