Yet another DC card: Golden Age Star Sapphire
I didn't even know that the original Green Lantern had his own Star Sapphire. DC couldn't scrape up any reference material for me so I called on the fine folks at the GCD and they helped me out with some scans from their collections.

Woof! Nice gams. Was this included in the Green Lantern VS card series? Someday I hope they print all of these in a larger format.
ReplyDeleteI honestly have no idea. I tried finding some of my comps but couldn't locate any of the printed VS cards. If it was published, it probably was for the Green Lantern set but I'm just not sure... sorry.
ReplyDeleteNice one , great colors too.
ReplyDeleteI really like the tilted stars rather than the single, straight on version you did. Think that adds a little more variety to the shot.
ReplyDeleteOf course, the original SS was a Flash Foe, never encounted GL in her few appearances. Flash always encountered her when he was with a female scientist.
ReplyDeleteThe character was retconned into a Zamaron agent much later. I'm wondering what the 1940s creative team had intended for her origins if sales had justified more appearances.
