These were drawn back in the late '80's after a guy called me up and asked if I'd have any interest in drawing a story or two for the Jackie Gleason Honeymooners book.

A random collection of material from comic artist Kevin Nowlan. Started with the best of intentions, but like most other efforts, doomed to perish from neglect as soon as the novelty wears off.
Ha!
ReplyDeleteThese are funny, in the good way!
Some nicely done caricatures in there.
Even with just a couple of lines, you captured one of the better Alice cartoon images I've seen (upper rt. above 'black' Ralph's shoulder). How very different from some of the more 'serious' work we usually see from you!
Am I correct in assuming a complete story was never done? If so, that's too bad. Was this for the Triad comic? I really love your Ralph's especially! Thanks for posting this.
These are marvelous!
ReplyDeleteThey are wonderful.
