From 1995. Looks like this was originally intended for 2099 Unlimited #5 but ended up on Hulk 2099 #2.

A random collection of material from comic artist Kevin Nowlan. Started with the best of intentions, but like most other efforts, doomed to perish from neglect as soon as the novelty wears off.
I first saw this when it was made into a poster actually. Then I tracked down the cover because I thought it was amazing. I'm so used to seeing Mark Farmer ink Adam and was blown away how much this combination really was different and applicable to the character, raw and energetic.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great example of two different styles producing a great combination. Was this the first time you had inked Adam? Might have been the only time as well. Need more.
Very cool! I like seeing your inks over different artists.

I started reading comics because of the art of Adam Kubert, his Wolverine inked by Farmer was his Best work. Did you inked Joe Kubert, Mr.Nowlan?
ReplyDeleteYes, this was the first and only time I've ever inked any of the Kubert's.
ReplyDeleteThis is just amazing work from you both! What a great collaboration!
