A random collection of material from comic artist Kevin Nowlan. Started with the best of intentions, but like most other efforts, doomed to perish from neglect as soon as the novelty wears off.
This piece has been around quite a long time. I drew it with markers and colored pencils for a friend's sketchbook, then touched it up for the cover for my first sketchbook. I think it even appears in the Modern Masters book. Recently I found a copy of the preliminary pencil sketch so now I have an excuse for posting it here...
wow, it's beautiful, looking at your drawings, ink in the previous step, do it all seem easy, but then I find it personally when the paper before I understand what your technical level is high. errors are the fault of google translate :)
Thanks for the new link, Kevin. I don't understand why it doesn't work when I click it. These bloggy things are far from perfect...never had a problem before.

ReplyDeleteI love the pose you can never go wrong with Frankenstein. What was used for color?
ReplyDeleteMarkers and colored pencils, but some of the final touch-ups were done in Photoshop.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, the color version appears as an 'x' when I click on it.
ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful, in any case.
That's strange. It works for me.
