How'd I miss this? I really gotta get out more often. Click on the link to see the Batman Black and White Motion Comics "Monsters in the Closet" episode. My favorite part is when Batman pokes the little reject with his finger. That shriek is very close to the sound I heard in my head when I drew that panel. Update: Now the video is embedded below, thanks to a helpful hand from Scott Peterson (the talented writer and editor, not the bad fellow who looks like Dean Cain).

I won't hazzard too far a guess in the proclamation that you have hit a wide, wide range of artists, sir.
ReplyDeleteRoll and rock, and let the future generations size up just what's what! Iconoclasm stands regardless! cheers, sir.
sadly we cant see this outside of the USA :(
ReplyDeleteI know neal adams and his studio are doing the x-men motion comics.....question is....are they doing these also ?
ReplyDeleteThat was a pretty neat interpretation of the story in motion version. So in the end, are you happy with how they translated it to motion?
ReplyDeleteSure, I thought they did a great job, especially when you consider that the story wasn't drawn with this treatment in mind. The little bits of new art are consistent with the original. I also liked seeing the long shot of the building in 3D. The Mad Scientist sounds a little like Triumph the insult comic dog which seems appropriate.
ReplyDeleteThis was the first work of Mr Nowlan who was exposed.Sadly, as Gerry said,we cant see this outside of the USA. So be satisfied with this

That was awesome! I'm going to able to show the animation to my nephew and then reference the Black and White book...he's going to loose his mind! Thank you for the link and the fabulous art.
ReplyDeleteSo do you get paid for this usage of your work as well?

Nice. At least you didn't have a woman voice played by a male voice actor like they did on the Superman Red Son motion comic. Weird, haha.
ReplyDeleteI don't have any idea. Hope so!
ReplyDeleteSorry, I was answering Shane's question and didn't see Dave's note. Yeah, all three voices are by one guy but they sound great. The Batman voice sounds enough like Kevin Conrad to get the job done. That's probably the way to go since Olan Soule isn't available.
ReplyDeleteI don´t know what is wrong with this "Big Company" website. Why can´t we see it out side from USA. Is the same with cartoon network and some others.
ReplyDeletesomeone has put it on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Lzc9vLmmCM
ReplyDeleteI live in the UK and got to see this BIG by buying it on iTunes. Looks great. Thanks for the pointer.
