A random collection of material from comic artist Kevin Nowlan. Started with the best of intentions, but like most other efforts, doomed to perish from neglect as soon as the novelty wears off.
From The GOON NOIR, 2006. John Arcudi wrote a very funny script for this six-page story. Here we see The Goon doing what he does best, getting mad and beating people up. As usual, I started with a tiny thumbnail sketch. It's rough, but most of the action is worked out. For some reason, I decided not to draw the chair that I roughed in on the layout.
very cool Kevin, his outfit reminds me a bit of the episode of Batman Animated when Bruce went undercover and ended up at some desert work camp. Anyhow, I digress. The pencils are lovely and love that first panel.
Thanks, Jayna. I think I remember that episode. Bruce looked a little like a dock worker or a cabbie. That cap instantly communicates Urban Working Class.
